Excavator with grab clearing scrub for a fire break on a bush block

Land clearing and fire breaks

Fire breaks and hazard reduction before summer, and clearing to get a block ready for construction. We use the right machines and attachments to do it quickly and tidily.

What’s included

  • Fire breaks and hazard reduction
  • Clearing blocks for construction
  • Scrub, stump and debris removal
  • Grading and levelling after clearing
  • Access tracks
  • Mulching and removal of cleared material

Before summer

Many Central Coast properties back onto bush. Clearing fire breaks and reducing fuel around buildings before the warmer months is one of the most useful jobs a property owner can do. Check what you are allowed to clear with the NSW Rural Fire Service and your council, then give us a call.

Before building

A block has to be cleared and levelled before a builder can set out. We clear, remove the material and grade the site so it is ready for the next stage, and we can carry on with the site cut when you are ready.

The right attachments

Land clearing is faster and tidier with the right tools for the vegetation. We match the machine and attachment to the job rather than making one bucket do everything.

Common questions

Something else you want to know? Call us on 0403 063 439.

Do I need permission to clear land?

Often, yes. Vegetation rules depend on your zoning and location. Check with the NSW Rural Fire Service and your council before clearing, and we are happy to talk through what you have found.

What happens to the cleared material?

We can remove it from site or mulch it, depending on the job.

Can you clear a block and then do the site cut?

Yes. Doing both with the same team saves time between stages.

How early should I book fire break work?

As early as you can before summer. Demand goes up as the weather warms.
